The Energy Cluster is a cooperation of 8 energy concerned EU projects to form a cluster initiative of "Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Sources".

Project News:

• On June 27th, Longlife will take part in the Energy Cluster meeting in Brussels, Belgium. On this day, all cluster activities and the cluster compendium will be presented and discussed. Save the date, more information and invitation available soon.
  

• On May 22nd, Baltic Biogas Bus will host its final event in Bergen, Norway. The project is partly funded by the EU and seeks to encourage cities and regions around the Baltic Sea and Norway to use biogas as a fuel for public transport. Description:

The instrument enables joint dissemination of tools and best practices developed by the involved projects. Based on the analysis of the project portfolio six potential cluster initiatives were identified:
1. Energy efficiency and renewable energy sources,
2. Climate change,
3. Multimodal cross-border transport corridors,
4. Fighting pollution of the Baltic Sea waters,
5. Maritime safety,
6. Tools supporting innovation sources.

All cluster projects and partners have the common thematic interest to work for sustainable energy solutions in the cluster region.
The cluster will protect the climate through using

• Renewable energy (in particular biogas)
• Sustainable technologies
• Resource saving in buildings
• Energy efficiency in urban context

All cluster projects and cluster partners agree to show the possibilities for a cooperation in the field of energy,

• to enhance the network to intensify cooperation between the cluster projects,
• to make the project results visible in a bigger framework like an eco region and spread them in a wider context,
• to inform about the common interests and results in the energy field and to reach decision makers and politicians,
• to inform about the best results of the projects and the cluster products and deliver them in international meetings and on a common platform
