SET 2011 in Turkey, Istanbul, Turkey
04-07 September 2011

The SET 2011 - 10th International Conference on Sustainable Energy Technologies was held from 4 to 7 September 2011 in Istanbul, Turkey.
This conference consisted of an informative and comprehensive scientific program, featuring oral and poster presentations and a commercial exhibition. This provided a unique opportunity to become familiar with the most recent advancements in sustainable energy technologies, as well as looking at "bold" and "unthinkable" ideas on a sound scientific-technical basis. The continuing objective of these SET conference series is to promote research and applications of the sustainable energy technologies. The specific objective of SET2011 is to situate these technologies in the context of the environmental pressure developed by growing economies still lacking technologies that fit their economic and cultural needs. The conference invites researchers, engineers, government officers and company delegates from the all fields to gather, present and share the results of their work in these areas and discuss future strategies for sustainability.
Longlife has already successfully attended the SET 2010 in China; SET 2009 in Germany and built a world wide network now expanded with this year's SET 2011 conference. Longlife will use these informations to update the Longlife prototype database catalogue as a basic to design a sustainable building in the BSR.
The conference and exhibition gave Longlife the chance to discuss future strategies for sustainable Energy Technologies and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning Systems) and to improve the knowledge for the Longlife prototype database catalogue and to complement with the newest technologies.
Longlife presented the Thermal Barrier technique as a project result and as an innovative technology of indirect heating and cooling for residential buildings, created by the Polish partners.
